| WMW Ranch. We are a moderate sized boarding, breeding and cutting facility in beautiful western New York just minutes from Lake Ontario. We are located directly between Rochester and Syracuse and conveniently just off of Route 104. We offer a variety of services including, boarding, clinics, lessons, training, horses for sale and we are breeding a couple of select AQHA mares for prospects every year. Our barn is a happy, healthy, fun, clean and efficient atmosphere. The stall barn offers a large heated tack room with running water and a heated bathroom. Individual water heaters to each horse in the cold winter months and individual stall runs to each horse (which could also serve as fire escapes - heaven forbid) that open into bigger paddocks for group turnout. We have a 60' round pen, a 100' X 100' outdoor cutting pen with a viewing/seating area and cattle holding pens. We have a 160' X 60' indoor arena with a speaker system, competition clock (which can also be used when we cut outdoors), judging stand, spectacular lighting, bleachers for your viewing comfort, and a fantastic holding pen for cattle. Our indoor also houses a small manual cutting mechanical designed by Mr. James Cary and built and modified by Eric Wilson. A "Pro-Cutter" mechanical run by remote control or computerized for show runs is also available for practice. We hold practices almost every week on Saturdays or Sundays, working outside on cows, when available, or inside on the mechanical. Sometimes we even use our goats- Diego, Alesia, Dora and Tico for practice. Happenstance WMW Ranch will be holding clinics again in the coming year. Our ranch caters to the beginner cutter - you have to start somewhere and we welcome you here. We hope you have fun while you learn. |
