We would like to thank all the riders who
participated in our "work weekend" with Jim
MacKay over the Easter holiday. The
weather did not want to cooperate, but we
always have the indoor arena to fall back on
when that happens. It worked out very well
considering that there were a couple of new
riders and horses and the experienced
horses were "cow fresh" not having seen
cattle in a while. People seemed to be
having fun as well as learning. By the end of
the weekend, they were cutting the herd and
doing very well.
We are hoping to get some cattle for an
extended period (not easy with the price per
head so high). When that happens we will
let people know either by phone, email or on
this website. This spring and summer we
would like to be able ride on cattle often and
hopefully, have a jackpot or clinic in the fall.
